BGMI Points System — How TCW Scrim Scoring Works
Every TCW lobby is decided by one simple formula: total points = placement points + finish points. This page explains each part, shows a worked example, and covers how daily standings and the monthly ranking use these numbers.
The three numbers on every row
- WWCD (Winner Winner Chicken Dinner). Finishing a match first. It is tracked separately because it is the cleanest measure of winning form — and it pays the highest placement points.
- Place points. Points for where the team finishes. Higher placement, more points: 1st place pays the most, and the payout steps down through 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th.
- Finish points. One point per finish (kill), no matter the placement. A squad that fights well but rotates badly still banks something.
Standard placement payout
TCW follows the standard competitive matrix used across BGMI scrims:
| Placement | Place points | Finish points |
|---|---|---|
| 1st (WWCD) | 10 | 1 per finish |
| 2nd | 6 | |
| 3rd | 5 | |
| 4th | 4 | |
| 5th | 3 |
Worked example
Two squads, one lobby. Squad A wins the match (WWCD) with 10 finishes: 10 place + 10 finish = 20 points. Squad B finishes 2nd with 12 finishes: 6 place + 12 finish = 18 points. The win still tops the table — but notice how close an aggressive second place gets. Now imagine Squad C finishing 2nd with only 2 finishes: 6 + 2 = 8 points. Same placement as Squad B, less than half the score. That gap is why balanced squads — good rotations and good fights — win seasons, not just matches.
Kills or placement — what matters more?
Neither, alone. Pure placement teams bleed points to aggressive lobbies; pure kill teams throw away the biggest single payout in the matrix (the WWCD). Coaches reading TCW standings look at all three columns: WWCD count for winning habit, finish points for fight quality, totals for the actual prize. If your finishes are high but totals lag, fix rotations. If placements are high but totals lag, take more early fights.
Daily standings and monthly ranking
Each lobby's table lives on the daily standings page for two days, then expires. The monthly ranking adds every lobby of the calendar month together per team — top 3 at month end win cash prizes (₹300 / ₹200 / ₹100). Consistency across the month beats one big lobby day, which is exactly what the ranking is designed to reward.
Points FAQ
How are points calculated in BGMI scrims?
Placement points from finishing position plus one point per finish. Total = placement + finish.
What is WWCD in BGMI?
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner — finishing first. It pays the highest placement points.
Do kills or placement matter more?
Both. A high-kill second place can outscore a low-kill win, so balanced squads top tables.
How long do daily standings stay up?
Two days — a result is visible on its date plus one more day, then it auto-removes.
